We are Europe!

Fico's pro-Russian policy will not stop us. We are ashamed of the recent actions of the Slovak Prime Minister, who threatens Ukrainians. Neither he nor other pro-Kremlin politicians can change the fact that we belong to the EU and NATO and that we continue to stand with heroic Ukraine.

Slovaks and Czechs are Europe too. We will not falter. On the contrary, we are continuing our campaign to raise funds for ammunition for Ukrainian defenders.

As actor Ivan Trojan said at the Freedom Square protest in Bratislava, We Are Europe - Enough of Russia:"Ukrainian soldiers, all of Ukraine - we are always with you."

We continue to stand on the right side of history, so let’s show it and contribute. Let’s help bring about Ukraine’s victory together.

WHAT HAVE WE ACCOMPLISHED SO FAR?

The Slovak fundraiser for ammunition for Ukraine launched in spring 2023, and thanks to the incredible response from the Slovak public, over 4 million euros have been raised for the purchase of ammunition as part of the Czech ammunition initiative.

The collected funds have already been used to purchase 2,700 pieces of 122 mm artillery ammunition, which have been successfully delivered to Ukraine. Thanks to continued support, an additional 5,500 grenade rounds for handheld grenade launchers have been purchased and are already on their way to Ukrainian soldiers.

WHO IS BEHIND THE INITIATIVE

Civic initiatives are behind the collection. The leader of the project is OZ MIER UKRAJINE, which has been helping the defending Ukraine in various ways since the beginning of the total war. Last year, we jointly raised 650,000 EUR for the Slovakian demining machine Božena 5. Another partner is the ALL4UKRAINE initiative, thanks to which more than 1.5 million EUR worth of vehicles for rescue workers have been delivered to Ukraine. Another partner is the fundraising platform Donio.sk, which has been donating to help Ukrainians in our country or in their homeland since the beginning of the conflict.
